Multi -Religion Water Ceremony Institute
Reunite different faith groups — Invent a new building typology for water ceremonies of different religious groups. This proposal is a response to the multi faith scenery in Leicester. It is to speculate on an alternative vision of how new multi-religion institutes are formed without segregating different faith groups in the context of abandoned buildings and post-industrial areas. The Grand Union Canal is revitalised by the purification of contaminated water, contributing to water ceremonies of each religion. Water and landscape capture the sense of sacredness of different religions. The project focuses on re-kniting the fragmented relationship between Abbey Park, the Canal and the city centre due to the divisive consequences of ring road.
